The Benefits of Yoga
The benefits of Yoga are both physical and mental. Physically yoga helps increase muscle flexibility (postures use all of the major muscle groups), gently works your muscles and improves balance. Breathing exercises that regulate the flow of vital energy are beneficial for your mental wellbeing. By focusing on your body in the session, yoga will contribute to the reduction of stress. Sessions
Each session consists of warm-up exercises to increase mobility and flexibility, a flow sequence, and various postures which develop balance and support. On the mat we are invited to take the time to listen to our body, our attention is constantly brought back to the breath, we develop our ability to concentrate. For example in balance exercises all our attention is required to maintain the posture.
The sessions always end with a few minutes of breathing and relaxation. We make yoga and its benefits readily available to everyone, through non-judgmental, fun and open-minded classes.
