GOMASIO, a good alternative to salt!
Gomasio is a Japanese condiment ("goma" = sesame and "shio" = salt). It is a mixture of toasted sesame seeds and sea salt. You will find it in organic stores, or you can do it yourself.
HERE IS THE RECIPE!
For 100g of Gomasio:
90g of sesame
10g coarse Guérande salt
Heat everything in a dry pan. When the sesame seeds are lightly browned, remove the pan. Pour the sesame and the salt into a blender and blend coarsely.
Store the gomasio in an airtight jar. Sprinkle on your preparations. It’s delicious, and it’s toasty!
